Saturday 26thursday January 2019 saw Scottish Disability Sport, in partnership with British Curling, host the Wheelchair Crimper Talent Evolution Day at the Pinnacle, Stirling.
Individuals of various ages and abilities attended the day which consisted of theory-based workshop detailing wheelchair curling, classification and pathway data, followed past participants undertaking a two-hour session on the ice with British Crimper coaches.
Participant quote: "I actually enjoyed the open mean solar day, it was fantastic to meet the SDS and British Wheelchair Curling staff too as Bob McPherson showing off his Sochi Bronze medal. I definitely will be looking to continue participating in wheelchair crimper."
On the mean solar day, SDS and British Curling staff also established the development of a Primal Wheelchair Curling Development squad, for which a scattering of individuals were selected. Globe Wheelchair Curling Championships 2019
Tickets are now on auction for the World Wheelchair Crimper Championships 2019. The championship is being held at Stirling'due south Peak Sports Village from tertiary to tenth March. Scottish Wheelchair Crimper Championships 2018
Held at The Peak Stirling
Tuesday 27th – Thursday 29th March 2018 saw the Acme, Stirling host the successful Scottish Wheelchair Curling Title, organised by SWCA.
There was a complement of 12 teams with over 50 wheelchair curlers attend the three-day competition, which was praised as being played with a high level of friendship and an inspiring event.
There were 2 pools of vi teams competing in the Circular Robin stages with the top teams from each department playing off for the Gilt Medal Game. The pool stages saw lots of skillful curling with Pool A having a very clear winner in Squad Gault. Pool B was a much tighter section with 2 teams fighting for elevation Spot, team Park and Team Bidgood. However, Team Bidgood finally won through to play in the Final.
Squad Gault having won this effect on the three previous occasions beingness the articulate favourites having 4 ex Paralympic players in their line-up, whilst Team Bidgood had a much more inexperienced line upward with their squad never having played together before this event.

British Wheelchair Curling Open Championship 2018
Scotland's wheelchair curlers were in activeness at the GB Wheelchair Curling Championships in Hamilton from ivth-6th February.
